Everyone here at Lighthouse Pointe would like to wish you a Happy New Year! The 2000’s are finally gone, and the 10’s are here. Hopefully you have all made your resolutions and goals for this new decade. We know we have. Our goal is still to make Lighthouse Pointe the best community in Bear Lake! We’re excited for what this new decade holds. We’ve committed to fun times, good relationships, more family time, and more memories! We know many of you have made the same goals. We’d love to be a part of helping you make some great family memories with a new place at Bear Lake. Come by our model home and see what home plans we have for you. We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are looking forward to a wonderful Holiday season! We want to take a moment at this time of year to say thank you to all our family, friends, neighbors and co-workers who make life worth living. We count ourselves blessed to live in such a great part of the world, surrounded by such wonderful people. We are looking forward to a special holiday season with our family and friends.

We are also excited for Winter to be here! With snow on the ground, it’s time to get out and ski, snowmobile, sled or just have a good ole fashion snowball fight . Winter in Bear Lake is simply magical. If you’re the winter sports kind of family, a new home at Lighthouse Pointe would be the perfect Winter getaway. With the best snowmobile area in Northern Utah right next door, you’d be able to sled right out your garage and up to Hodges Canyon for a great time. If skiing’s your thing, Beaver Mountain is just a 10 minute drive away. If a fun year round family vacation home is what you’re looking for this Christmas, we’d love to get you started! Our sales office will be open by appointement only until January, when we’ll resume our Winter hours. Fall Update from Lighthouse Pointe

Well, we took a short break after a busy summer, but now we’re back for a great holiday season! We have a few updates and events planned for everyone.

First, there have been a few updates on our website. Now that sales have officially begun on the Village in Lighthouse Pointe, we’ve added an interactive community map to showcase what lots are selling and what homes are going on those lots. You can check out the map at http://www.bearlakelighthouse.com/site/id/thevillage.asp. For those who have been thinking about buying, be sure to check out the map and choose your lot before it’s taken. Remember, no 2 homes together can have the same home plan or exterior color, so those getting in first get to choose!

Second, our hours have changed. Each Saturday we’ll be posting new hours on the website and at the model home for the week ahead. So, if you’re planning on visiting us, be sure to check out when a sales representative will be here. If we’re not scheduled, please don’t hesitate to call us and schedule an appointment. We’d be more than happy to meet you here at your convenience.

Finally, we have some great events coming up. We’ll be having a subcontractor appreciation open house on October 24th and 25th. We’ll be serving hot chocolate and cookies for our guests, and the kids will be able to take home a pumpkin for Halloween! Although the event is for our great subcontractors, I’m sure they’ll join us in welcoming all who want to come by. We’ll be hosting a few other open house events throughout the winter as well.

Lighthouse Pointe at Adventure Playground

This Wednesday morning a few of us from Lighthouse Pointe will be volunteering at the Adventure Playground. This is a great project for the Logan community. This will be an amazing playground, and what’s more special is that it is an all-abilities playground, fully wheel-chair accessible and tons of fun for all kids! We encourage everyone to participate. Next Year’s Parade Home Could Be Yours!

The 2009 Bear Lake Parade of Homes just barely ended and we’re already gearing up for the 2010 parade! And your home could be in it! We’re looking for someone ready to get started building a new home at Lighthouse Pointe who wants to get some great discounts for being a Bear Lake Parade home. Our vendors and subcontractors give us great discounts for the advertising and publicity they get during the Parade, and they are again willing to lower their prices for next year’s parade. Utah Home Run Grant

Here’s another great incentive to get started on your new Lighthouse Pointe home!

There is a new $4,000 grant (Home Run Grant Program) to assist home buyers who are:

1. Hiring a builder to construct a new personal residence,
2. Purchasing a partially-finished residence and contracting to
have it completed, or
3. Purchasing a newly-built, never-occupied, completed residence.
4. Income restictions-Single person max income $75,000 and married couples max income $150,000.
5. Must be primary residence.

As with the original Home Run program, the Home Run 2 Grant will be
administered by Utah Housing Corporation. Grant funds will be wired to
the settlement agent closing the home purchase transaction. Funding
will be available for approximately 1,950 grants. The approximate
number of remaining grants may be viewed at all times on the Utah
Housing website at www.utahhousingcorp.org.

The Parade of Homes was a Success!

Thank you to everyone who came by during the Bear Lake Parade of Homes. What a great way to start off our community! We’re excited to get started on the next few homes, which should start going up shortly. In fact, we’re looking for someone who wants to be in next year’s parade! We’ve got some great incentives for someone willing to build a home at Lighthouse Pointe and represent the community at the 2010 Bear Lake Parade of Homes. Now that summer is over and the parade has ended, we’ll be changing our model home hours. We’ll be open Friday evenings and all day Saturday. Labor Day Weekend at Bear Lake

Labor Day weekend is here and it hasn’t dissapointed! We’ve had our busiest days so far in the Parade of Homes. We had our grill going again for those who stopped by on Saturday. We’ve also continued to hear some great responses to our project and our model home. In fact, we’ve managed to get a few under contract and a couple more reservations! So if you’re considering a home at Lighthouse Pointe, you better come in and reserve your spot today!

Parade of Homes Update

Thanks to everyone who has stopped by during the Parade of Homes! It’s been a great success so far. We’ve had some great comments, I think we’ve got a good shot at the People’s Choice award! Thanks also to the Viking appliance distributors for feeding everyone last Saturday, that was fantastic! Everyone who visited was fed the most delicious cranberry/white chocalte chip cookies and barbequed brauts. It was great, thanks a ton guys!

For those who missed it, we’ll be cooking them up again this coming Saturday so don’t miss that. And don’t forget to sign up for our giveaways, we’ll be doing a couple more this week.
